Hi!
My name Mimi Thompson and I am the President of Pomona Ventures.
I started this blog series to share more about the members of PV and all their various entrepreneurial involvements, accomplishments and even downfalls. It’s a way for you to connect with the causes we are passionate about. It’s a way for us to take a step back and reflect on our own experiences.
I also think it’s a great way for us to share resources – whether they be books, podcasts, websites, the list goes on – which have helped us to grow personally and professionally. These are the goals of “PV Posts” and I hope you, as the reader, will raise questions and offer feedback to make the series the best it can be.
As blog post number one, here is a snapshot of my experience with PV thus far…
I joined PV at the beginning of my sophomore year. Although I enjoyed my first-year at CMC, I spent the summer dissatisfied with many of my involvements. I wasn’t really being challenged professionally and I didn’t even know the ways I could be. PV has given me so much to consider and I am so thankful for the mentorship experiences I have received. I am, of course, still learning about what I want to do and how to get there but being the President of PV has shown me that I can succeed and that my ideas are valid. I am so excited for the rest of the semester to achieve our club-wide goals and continue to share them with you.
So, welcome to PV Posts!
All the best,
Mimi T
